Angel Locsin and Neil Arce invited just 10 people to witness their civil wedding, which they announced on August 7, 2021. Angel made sure her best friend and fellow actress Dimples Romana was among the special guests.
Dimples, who came to the wedding with ther husband Boyet Ahmee, was also among the first to congratulate the newlyweds on social media. She shared a few photos on her Instagram account showing glimpses of what went on during the ceremony officiated by Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano.
Dimples said in one of her posts, tagging the newlyweds and her husband, “Like the way you have our backs, we will always have yours. [We] are honored and humbled to have been part of this beautiful moment.
“And Like what our beloved Mayor said, Kapag mawala pa lahat, HOPE, FAITH and LOVE remains. Truly you are each other’s treasure. Anubaaaaaaa naiiyak pa din ako!!!”
Angel also shared several snaps from her wedding, and a couple of them show Dimples shedding copius tears. She said, teasingly, in the caption, “Excuse me… are you the mother?”

“Mars? Pwede ka bang mag witness? Kailangan pala hehe”
“Oo naman. Anong kailangan mo? Anong isusuot?”
“Kahit ano lang. jeans.”
“Wala kang kwentang kausap. Di nga?”
“Pants lang mars. Kung ano lang ang suot mo. Kahit naka-slippers.”
“Sa harap ng mayor, naka-tsinelas?! Mag ayos ka naman!”
But Angel had this postscript: “Ang pakiusap ko lang, let’s protect Dimples Romana at all cost. Mahal na mahal ko yan.”
She also thanked Boyet for “taking videos kasi di ko naisip lol, labyu.”
For her part, Dimples explained in her one of her posts why she was crying: “Only tears of joy for you mars and your northern star. Thank you, Mr. Arce. You have made my best friend heart find peace and comfort in knowing that my Huling Bantay will forever be loved and looked out for – Tagapangalaga.”

Dimples when on with their story: “Lani, together with her whole family migrated to the US many years back. I remember the day like it was just yesterday when Lani called me and wanted to meet in person.
“We went to Gel’s taping nun and literal na ibinilin nya sa akin si Gel. And from that day on, I promised her and I gave her my word, that I will take care of Gel whatever happens, from here on out in the PH while she is in the US that she doesn’t have to worry.
“It was a silent promise made for a friend by a friend. And that commitment came with a lot of fun times, trying times and lots of watching Gel go through breakups and make ups, falling back in love and more.
“But just like any relationship, a genuine friendship is not measured based on just the happy memories but more importantly the times when we had to sit quietly together while we watch each other heal, offering extra hands for when our friends need help in picking pieces up together, lots of reminding how life and God works in mysterious ways.
