Good news for passports applicants with special needs or are in a rush.
The Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA) off-site passport service in Glorietta Mall is now processing Courtesy Lane applications.
“Priority will be given to those with urgent travel (medical or emergency reasons) needs,” said an advisory issued by the DFA.
To book an appointment, email the Courtesy Lane section at oca.cl@dfa.gov.ph. Walk-ins are not entertained as part of COVID-19 safety and health protocols.
Proof of eligibility must be submitted when requesting for an appointment. A list of accepted proof of eligibility can be found here.
Applicants eligible for the Courtesy Lane service include:
- senior citizens
- persons with disability
- pregnant women
- children seven (7) years old and younger
- solo parents
- migrant workers
- exceptional and emergency cases
“Kindly be advised that a booked flight is not an accepted proof of urgency,” the DFA advisory reminded.
“Travelers have been advised not to book flights if their travel documents are not updated.”
Those who do not meet the Courtesy Lane requirements may book an appointment via www.passport.gov.ph.
Courtesy Lane applicants were previously accommodated only at the DFA Consular Affairs Office at the Aseana Business Park in Paranaque. Providing an extension office will allow the DFA to process more applicants and lessen their backlog due to limitations imposed by pandemic restrictions.
Earlier this month, the DFA opened five temporary off-site passport service offices in the capital to accommodate 2,500 more applicants daily.
