Kyla Bares Heartbreak Over Third Miscarriage: ‘We Love You, Our Millie’

  • Kyla and husband Rich Alvarez have lost another angel.

    The singer shared the painful news on her Instagram account today, July 16, 2021. She posted a black and white photo with her son, Toby, where they were both smiling and with their hands over the singer’s small baby bump.

    “My heart is broken in levels deeper than you may ever have imagined,” she wrote.

    In her caption, it seems that the singer already knew the gender of their baby and had already picked out a name for her. “Our little angel, please watch over me, your Daddy, and Kuya Toby. Send our hugs and kisses to your 2 siblings in heaven. We love you, our Millie. [broken heart emoji]”

    This is the third time that the singer has suffered a miscarriage. In 2018, Kyla revealed that she lost her babies in March and November that same year.

    In an Instagram post, Kyla revealed that was supposed to be her third pregnancy was sensitive and she was ordered bedrest. Unfortunately, she suffered from a second miscarriage.

    “I felt like I was given the most beautiful gift and then taken back from me so fast,” the singer recalled.

    “It’s heartbreaking,” she added. “Grief is not a once and done process. You don’t cry for a week, or a month, or a year and then move on. It’s hard. You don’t get it out of your system. I will always wonder about the birthdays that we will never get to celebrate. It was supposed to be September and May.”

    In the comments section of her latest post, the singer received an outpouring of support from celebrity friends, including the hosts of noontime variety show It’s Showtime!

    “Sending virtual hugs and prayers to you @kylaalvarez,” Amy Perez wrote. “Love u Kyla. Sending all my love,” added Karylle.

    Her fellow singers, who are also moms, Sitti, Aicelle Santos, and Rachelle Ann Go also sent their love and prayers.

    “Kyla… sis, I’m so sorry [crying emojis] sending you hugs and prayers…” wrote Sitti.

    “Yakap ate ky… Love you,” wrote Aicelle.

    “Sis… I love you… so so sorry to hear this,” wrote Rachelle Ann.

    Kyla and Rich welcomed their first child Toby in 2013. Despite suffering two miscarriages, Kyla remained hopeful that something wonderful would happen to their family.

    In another post that she made in early 2019, the singer wished for another baby and shared they had prayed for it in every church that they visited while on vacation in Europe.
