Dingdong Dantes And Marian Rivera Receive COVID-19 Vaccine On Independence Day

  • In the Philippines, there is still a lot of skepticism about the COVID-19 vaccine. People seem to be scared of the side effects more than the virus itself. That’s why we love it when celebrities share their “I’ve been vaccinated!” photos because it does make an impact among fans or followers who may need convincing to get the COVID vaccine.

So kudos to Dingdong Dantes for sharing photos when he and wife Marian Rivera got their jabs on Independence Day 2021.

Dingdong took to Instagram to share photos of the day taken by television host and weather anchor Kim Atienza and director/manager Tristan Cheng.

In Filipino, Dingdong, who got Sinovac, admitted he was nervous about the vaccine, but he trusted science. He wrote: “Kabado man, through research and consultation with experts, mas nagkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob para magpabakuna. This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community.”

Dingdong said people in his line of work needed to get the vaccine because they do location shoots. “Kapag sasabak na sa eksena, mask-off. Kailangan naming tanggalin ang aming first line of defense sa COVID-19.”

Dingdong seems to be trolling his wife a bit with the last photo of the series. Is Marian scared of needles? You’re not alone, Marian, and the most important thing is you did it!
