“Can’t even begin to find the words to describe how epic & magical last weekend was,” Sarah wrote on Instagram. “From bumpy and muddy roads to fresh air, mountains and rivers.”

Her picturesque birthday weekend was spent at Camp Masayo in Bulod Campsite, which is located in Tanay, Rizal — not too far away from the metro. It was Gideon Hermosa who transformed the campsite into a fairytale world, adding an exquisite fairy lights, flowers, and lanterns that gave off a starry glow.

The family bonded in front of a magnificent bonfire, and got to explore the terrain of the camp and its nearby surroundings. They went horseback riding, and even got to take a dip in the river!

Plus, they braved the rocky roads in a sturdy jeep with the words “Gutz Glory” painted on its side!

According to Camp Masayo’s website, the whole campsite can be rented starting at Php25,000 a night and is good for up to 18 people. This includes access to the campsite’s basic facilities, a studio type room, 4 native bell tents with a fan and a mattress good for 4 pax, WIFI, toilet & baths, and more.

What’s interesting is that the website mentions that only 4×4 vehicles can go directly to the campsite. Should you decide to book, they have available vehicles to transport you across the river.

It looks like Sarah had the time of her life! (Well, if we got to go on a similar getaway, we’d have a blast, too.) She made sure to thank her event planner, Amanda Tirol, for making the celebration run as smoothly as it did. Of course, she also expressed her appreciation for her husband, Richard Gutierrez.

Lastly, to the brains & heart of this trip, our dada, my love, for turning this idea into reality. Thank you for this unforgettable trip and for tirelessly working on making sure this was going to be epic for all of us. I LOVE YOU!” she wrote.

    Happy 28th Birthday, Sarah!
