Parents want interesting and unique names or monikers that can set their babies up for success or good luck. Some take insipiration from their own names, some from names of famous personalities, and apparently, more parents are naming their children after Marvel characters!

Aside from being a hit on the big screen, Marvel is also turning into a popular baby name generator in the United States. Data from the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) showed that in 2020, a significant increase of babies bearing the names of Marvel superheroes are observed.

Take, for example, Loki, who has appeared in several “Thor” and “Avengers” films. From 55 boys named Loki in 2010, SSA recorded a rise of 130 boys in 2020, plus five girls.
