Families gathered in various public places in Metro Manila during the first weekend of Alert Level 3 in the capital region. But authorities reminded people there are still guidelines restricting the movement of minors.
Scenes at many pasyalans in NCR felt like we were back to the pre-pandemic era. Physical distancing and age restrictions took a bit of a backseat as many saw the downgraded alert status as a chance to finally have some family time outdoors.

Given the situation this past weekend, the Metro Manila Council announced that a more specific guideline detailing where minors can and cannot go will be released Monday, October 18, 2021.
In an interview on ABS-CBN Teleradyo, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora also reiterated that kids below 18 years old are still prohibited inside malls and dine-in areas.
There’s no denying that many of us are already facing COVID fatigue and feeling burnout from the seemingly never-ending physical distancing rule that has limited our interaction outside.
While these protocols can be emotionally draining, here’s a gentle reminder to every family to keep the balance between bonding together and ensuring each family members’ safety from the threat of a deadly virus.
