New Mom Sam Pinto Says SIL Gwen Zamora Is Her Go-To For Anything Baby-Related

• When Sam Pinto’s husband Anthony Semerad announced on September 1, 2021, via Instagram, that their first-born child, Mia Aya, has arrived (read here), their sister-in-law Gwen Zamora was the first to comment with congratulations.

  Gwen, who’s married to Anthony’s twin brother and fellow pro basketball player David Semerad, also commented about Baby Mia’s “cutie fingers.” Mia has an older cousin in Gwen and David’s two-year-old son Cooper.

  In Sam’s exclusive interview with SmartParenting.com.ph just two weeks before giving birth, she happily relates that Gwen, also an actress, is “super supportive” of her. In fact, Sam considers Gwen her go-to person for anything related to pregnancy or having a baby.

  Sam says of Gwen, “She just went through everything and she’s the closest one I know just had a baby. Because when I ask my mom, di na niya alam. Hello, I’m already 31, so that was 31 years ago. Super iba na ngayon, so it’s Gwen I ask everything—the best brand for bottles…”

  She shares this piece of advice from Gwen: “Just try to get a little bit of everything because every baby is different.” And that’s what she’s been doing for Baby Mia until she finds out what her daughter likes. She adds that Gwen has also given her a lot of advice on breastfeeding, including a selection of lactation milk, coffee, and choco drinks.

  Most importantly, Sam has found a cheerleader in Gwen, and goes on explaining: “Her pregnancy was super smooth, as in another level smooth. She enjoyed it so much. Ah, buti pa s’ya!

  “Me talaga there are times not good. She goes, ‘Girl, okay lang ’yan.’ If your pregnancy daw is not that smooth, the delivery is gonna be super fast and smooth. So sana talaga.”

  

  On Sam and Anthony’s wedding day in February 2021, they had in their very short guest list Gwen, David, and Cooper. Gwen also congratulated the newlyweds on Instagram, saying in the caption: “So proud of these two’s relationship. They’ve mastered the skill of how to uplift and have each other’s back, front and sides! Always finding ways on making each other grow into the best versions of themselves. 

  “The world is clearly at their fingertips, they remain humble and kind…We love you as big as the sky! May the Semerad Empire be as bright as your hearts. Sammy!!! We officially sis in laws now!!!”

  

  In Sam’s vlog, there’s a video of her (3rd from left) playing the “Sino ang Pinaka Challenge” game with (L-R) David, Gwen, and Anthony, as David and Gwen’s son Cooper cheers from on. Gwen has a similar video in her own vlog, The Semerad Family, with the title, “Who Is Most Likely To…Couple Vs. Couple.” They all have a great time in both videos.
