Anthony Semerad Announces Wife Sam Pinto Has Given Birth: ‘You Were Amazing!’

• Sam Pinto and Anthony Semerad are now parents of a baby girl!

  Yesterday, September 1, 2021, the basketball player posted a sweet photo of his daughter’s hand clutching his finger. He wrote, “I’m officially a Dad! So proud of you baby @sampinto_ you were amazing!”

  He also greeted her with her full name, which they had been mentioning in their social media accounts: Mia Aya Semerad.

  

  Sam announced her pregnancy back in May on Instagram, joyfully sharing a photo of their baby’s ultrasound. She says in her post, “We are beyond excited to share with you all that WE ARE PREGNANT! Our hearts are full and feeling blessed. We honestly couldn’t be happier and excited for our greatest adventure yet! @anthonysemerad”

  Anthony Semerad posted the same photo on his own Instagram, with the caption, “I’m gonna be a Dad! Excited for this next chapter of our lives @sampinto_”

  The parents revealed the gender of their little girl in Sam’s vlog. Sam had a baby shower for Mia, their little mermaid, with her closest family and friends. The under the sea, mermaid theme looked so magical!

  

  Sam told SmartParenting.com.ph in an exclusive interview that her pregnancy has been smooth sailing for the most part, except for her sense of smell being stronger than usual. “I felt like puking all the time.”

  She is also in the process of learning to love the changes with her body, such as dark underarms and stretch marks, saying that daily affirmations, and a ton of sebo de macho, has helped her a lot.

  The actress, who owns the L’Sirene beach resort in Baler, also told us how she and her husband came with the name for their baby daughter:  “We’ve been searching for the best name ever. Finally Mia came up, and it means ‘Queen of the Ocean.’ How perfect, di ba? And then, Aya means ‘The Lucky One.’”

  Sam has been ready for weeks to go the hospital, with her hospital bag ready to grab at any moment. She posted in her Instagram highlights a couple of mommy and baby must haves, such as clothes, diapers, wipes, even a pocket sterilizer!

  Sam’s Instagram post about how her last month being the longest must have other mommies nodding their head in agreement. The 9^th month does make you feel anxious and heavy!

  Sam says in the caption: They say that the last month of being pregnant is the longest. I super agree. I feel the heaviest, most swollen, waddling around with a big belly.. just waiting for her to come out. Last night was in tears. Just the idea of having a baby — someone who’s me and @anthonysemerad… I still can’t believe I’m growing a life inside me? How crazy and amazing! To all the pregnant mommies, we got this. Everything at the right time.”
