Divine Lee Rushed To The Hospital Because Of Placenta Previa: ‘The Baby Is Okay’

  • Divine Lee is presently recovering at home after she was rushed to the hospital due to a pregnancy complication.

In a series of posts on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, Divine said she had to be confined at the Chong Hua Hospital – Fuente in Cebu City after experiencing heavy bleeding due to a condition called Placenta Previa.

According to MayoClinic.org, Placenta Previa is a condition that occurs when “a baby’s placenta partially or totally covers the mother’s cervix.”

It can cause severe bleeding during pregnancy and delivery.

Divine added, “The type of Placenta Previa that I have is not fully determined yet so we will be taking an MRI to fully see what’s happening.

“And the MRI is not for the baby. It’s for the placenta guys.”

The celebrity mom also quickly debunked rumors about her condition.

Before revealing what happened to her, some netizens have started speculating: are they signs of a preterm labor or side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine?

Divine explained, “There are people already assuming na it’s preterm labor. No. It’s not preterm labor. I haven’t contracted kahit once.

“Some people are thinking it’s the bakuna. No. It’s not about the bakuna because I already had this before my bakuna.

“So I wanna make that clear. So tigilan niyo ako please.”

Divine further clarified that this condition happens naturally to pregnant women.

“If you Google it… it can be because of age, it can be a lot of factors but… it’s not because I did something. Alam mo yun?

The TV host also assured her followers that her baby is totally fine.

She said, “The baby is totally okay, one hundred percent passed all the test. Ano nga, performer nga, e. Tuwing may nakakabit, sipa nang sipa.”

Divine did not forget to thank, through a post on Instagram, the nurses and doctors who took care of her when she got confined in the hospital.

She wrote, “Angels on Earth [heart emoji] ilan lang kami sa napakarami nilang nasagip sa peligro.

“Actually, I don’t know how to even verbalize my gratitude for these people.

“Aside from attending to my medical needs, pag umiiyak ako sa takot for my child andyan din sila, pag natatawa kami kasi d ko talaga kaya sa bed pan [heart emoji]

“Sabi ko nga kay Blake, if walang Baz and Blanca naghihintay sa bahay, Keri ko lang dito nalang kasi I feel safe [heart emoji]

“Thank you from our little #FamiLEEGOals And to my doctor @tpm [emoji]

“again and again, going over and above the call of duty. Thank you doc.

“From all my kids, to our covid experience, even check ups of my household, and now… you saved us again.

“Thank you! Thank you @e.callanta and CHH Fuente [heart emoji] I’ll see you guys again, pero sa delivery date na [emoji]”
