In a new YouTube video, Miriam Quiambao-Roberto and her husband Ardy Roberto take you behind the scenes of the birth of their baby boy, Ezekiel Isaiah, or Ziki for short. Ziki was born last July 12, 2021, three weeks earlier than the estimated due date.
The video showed Miriam’s demeanor before going into the operating room. With her was Ardy, along with her OB-Gyne, Dr. Rebecca Singson, also known as Dr. Becky or the “OB Maestra,” as Ardy would call her.
Dr. Becky recalls how Miriam’s second pregnancy was so much smoother compared to her first one. “It had many complications… but now, look, at 46 years old, on your second baby! May pag-asa, you are a beacon of hope for everybody!”
Miriam’s husband chimed in, “Nothing is impossible with God… and the right doctor!”
Indeed, the mom of now two boys showed grace and calm throughout the entire process. As Miriam was being wheeled into the operating room, she expressed her feelings about giving birth again. “I put my trust in the Lord, believing that He is in full control, His presence is with me.”

Before heading to the delivery room, Dr. Becky mentioned that she’s been delivering babies since 1984, so she has roughly perhaps given birth to 3,700 babies, to which Ardy jokingly says Ziki will be the 3,701st baby!
Throughout the Caesarian Section (CS) that Miriam was going through, she was calm and collected. Ardy would check up on her from time to time, and in the middle of the operation, you would hear Ardy praying Psalm 23 to calm himself down.
Towards the end of the video, you will see Baby Ziki safely delivered, healthy, and, as Dr. Becky would exclaim, “Ang taba! I did not expect it!” Baby Ziki would go on to do skin-to-skin and latch on to Miriam to feed, then proceeding to their room for mother, child, and father, to finally have time to be with one another.

The video ends with the passage from Isaiah 7:11: “Ask for a sign from your God. Ask anything. Be extravagant. Ask for the moon!”
