Alice Dixson Reveals Her Mom Had Her Quite Late In Life, Too

  • On May 19, 2021, actress Alice Dixson posted a series of photos on an Instagram post, which started with a picture of her holding her “little miracle” in her arm. The second showed a photograph of Alice and her mom.

In her caption, Alice drew parallelism between her situation as a new mother in her golden years and the time her mom had her.

Alice, 51, together with her longtime partner whose identity she has decided not to divulge, had her baby through surrogacy last April 2021.

“Remembering my mom as I am now a mom,” Alice began her post. She goes on to describe her mom — known to all as Tiya and Ate Coring — as “strong, business-minded, beautiful & sexy. She wore her hair short & her 2 front teeth gold-rimmed. Walang sinabi ang mga rappers sa kanya,” she quipped.

“I think she was around 33 when she met my father (love story for next time — kilig), and when I was, born 37 na siya; my dad 43.”

Alice explained it was already “late” for her parents to start a family during those times, considering their ages.

“… But they persevered because they wanted so much to have a child together. May parallelisms ang motherhood journeys namin …” she continues.

Alice shared how her mother even resorted to hilot and to dancing during the fertility rites festival in Obando just to conceive.

“She said they did a lot, including the hilot thing at ang pagsayaw sa Obando. Hehe. How menopause baby na ako & how I was conceived on our farm — under a coconut tree daw. Lol,” she wrote, punctuating her sentence with a see-no-evil monkey emoji.

Towards the end of her post, Dixson said she celebrated her first Mother’s Day thinking of her mom.

“Ngayon ko lang talaga na appreciate at naramdaman ang sacrifices niya, all the love,” she wrote, adding she knows her mom is watching over her little family.

Baby Aura, Alice’s daughter, would have been Ate Coring’s eighth apo had she been alive.

“Whatever I am today it’s because of you… I hope to pass all the best qualities to my daughter,” Alice concluded.
